Prior Experience

Prior to calling, Maryam practiced for a number of years predominantly in criminal law where she worked as a defence solicitor in one of Edinburgh's largest firms. Maryam also has experience in some areas of civil, working as an assistant in a mixed practice where she handled a wide caseload dealing with children's referrals, mental health tribunals, extradition and courts-martial.
